A glazier is a tradesperson who works with glass and glass substitutes. Tasked with cutting, installing, and removing glass of all kinds, glaziers install glass into things such as windows, doors, displays, storefronts, curtainwalls, skylights, and other various items. Glazier’s may also be required to install sashes or moldings for installations and secure them with a variety of fasteners. Glaziers must know how to read and understand blueprints and specifications to know necessary work details, including color, shape, size, type, and thickness of materials such as glass, frame components, or various materials used in the glazing industry. CITC’s four-year program has been designed by highly qualified subject matter experts to provide theoretical and practical skill applications essential to your success as a glazier.
Students will be required to have access to a computer or tablet device with a working camera and microphone. Additionally, all students will need to have access to a reliable internet source when classes begin in the fall. CITC students are required to have their own a laptop or tablet computer with video, audio, camera, microphone, and wireless network access with them on their fist day of class. It is crucial that students have the required textbooks and class materials by the first day of class. Students will be instructed on how to purchase the required e-text(s) on the first day of class. To purchase the stand alone NCCERConnect with e-text, students will need a Course ID #. Course ID will be provided by the course instructor. CITC Instructor will provide the Course ID no later than the first day of class.Students are expected to purchase the required e-texts during the first day of class.
