Welcome to the exciting world of 3D Computer Character Animation. In this 3D Computer Character Animation course you will learn the important role animators play in the Animation, Visual Effects and Video Game Industries. The animators mandate is to bring the illusion of life to the animated characters, such characters will connect with their audience and make them believe through acting, emotions and stories. Animators are in the middle of the process of a studio pipeline, they are digital actors and storytellers bringing their talents to create the next generation of blockbuster entertainment.
High school graduate (with transcript), or 19 years of age or older.
A portfolio must showcase the student's five (5) favorite pieces of art (sketches, paintings, modeling, drawings, etc). If a student has no portfolio, they can gain admission by successfully passing the Introduction to Digital Arts course with a minimum grade of B- (73%). Prospective students must successfully pass the general assessment test in our application form. The test assesses Computer Knowledge, Internet knowledge, English reading, and Writing skills.
