Invasive Cardiovascular Technology

Bates Technical College ETPL
The Invasive Cardiovascular Technology Program prepares students for a dynamic career in roles such as Invasive Cardiovascular Tech, Cardiac Technologists, or Cath Lab Technologists and Technicians equipped to work in catheterization labs and similar diagnostic and interventional healthcare settings. This rigorous associates degree program covers essential topics such as cardiovascular anatomy, hemodynamics, pharmacology, radiation physics, safety and patient care, alongside advanced training in diagnostic and interventional procedures. Through hands-on clinical practicums and labs, students develop the technical and patient-care skills needed to assist with cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and other life-saving procedures in hospital or clinical settings. Graduates are prepared to sit for the Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification exam, positioning them for entry-level roles in high-demand cardiac care environments.
